"This hotel is close to the train station, about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was about a 10 minute walk north from the hotel to get to an area with interesting restaurants and shops. "I understand Toyoko Inns are not five star luxury hotels but I was still a tiny bit disappointed at how basic the facilities were. The room was tiny but they made good use of the space. The breakfast buffet was very basic but decent and free so what can you expect? Ultimately, the hotel was cheap and it had a great location only a block from the main train station. "Turned out to be perfect for an overnight stay. It was only 4 minutes walk from the train station and Izakayas. I had a wonderful view of the snow capped mountains in the morning. "

"Stayed here for 4 nights and it was the perfect spot for skiing. Just opposite the beginner slope chair lift and only a short walk from the ski school. The staff were excellent and very welcoming, especially the man at reception. We really appreciated the buffet dinner after long days of skiing. Would definitely recommend booking a stay here.
