"A great little property tucked away in a quiet street close to the train station. Car parking was not a problem, even though it was not at the hotel itself. Lots of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Rooms very small, but clean and well equipped."

"Bosenkan mean Riverview Inn, and it really offers a fine view of the Hida River. This is a traditional Japanese style place, with tatami mat rooms, nice yukata robes for guests, and a very nice indoor outdoor communal bath. I highly recommend it if you are staying in Gero Onsen, one of Japan's big three famous spas."

If you are looking for a traditional Japanese experience this is NOT IT! This is not a Ryokan or traditional Onsen with tatami mat floors and dinner served in your room. "Typical ryokan onsen resort. Food was excellent. But the bed was very uncomfortable and the exit from the room bathroom was a definite potential fall hazard "

"If you see this review. Just book it if is within your budget. They take care of everything once you stepped into Gero station. Jus hopped into any Taxi waiting at the station and your retreat begins. We stepped into the inn and didnt think of going any where until our check out time. "
