"This will have to be my most favorite part of my trip to Japan. You will have to intentionally come here for the temple stay. First and foremost, the facility will ONLY ACCEPT CASH payment for the stay. Though my wife and I were not too fond of the shared wash rooms to wash up. I don’t believe the facility has rooms with private wash rooms. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. They offer traditional breakfast and dinner(vegan friendly, though I am not, very delicious!). Wake up...

"This is the best Hostel to book on any budget. Since it is also a cafe the interior is upper nice and modern looking. As in the name, the interior is all made of wood and has that amazing wood smell that makes you feel so welcomed and at peace. The boy at the counter was super helpful and great at guiding me through the check in/ check out process. "I like the antique atmosphere probably because it's an old hotel. Room I rented was clean. Only problem I had there was the wifi, but that's not an issue for me since I can just use my data to access the internet. The closest station is like a 14-minute walk from the hotel which is fine. Overall, I would still recommend it if you are into old hotels."

"Staff were so sweet and helpful here. It is so convenient since everything in the park closes early as well as transportation, so if you are staying to see the deer it is a perfect place to do so."

"It was super easy to walk to from the metro. The area was quiet, peaceful, and there was a great area for shopping and eating. Nara park was not far. The ryokan was incredible and the temperature was perfect. The rooms were super clean and I love that they provided amenities. "

"Very nice corridor with classic music at a low volume. Double entry doors that bring down the outside noise. It has a small entrance space between those doors. Nicely decorated and spacious room. A choice of drinks and other stuff you might need in small vending machines inside the room. AC and heating working well. Ensuite sauna, jet-bath, shower, separate bathroom and sink. Microwave, kettle, different glasses and plates, sets of assorted coffee and tea.. Very clean. The only reason of 4 stars...
