"Home style Japanese dinner and breakfast was delicious. The premise and surroundings were very quiet—a nice getaway from the bustling city. A home-like coziness. "This is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are a little dated by current standards but the view and the staff make up for that. The dining experience was great and the hostess was so helpful and genuine. The food was excellent. We when on the morning cruise with departed from the lakefront of the hotel. The hotel provides a breakfast bento to eat while you cruise. So happy we stayed here. "

"Saika-an is about 10 minutes walk from Nishi-Maizuru station, the staff here is very friendly, they are very patient to explain everything you ask. The room is fantastic, it's a Japanese tatami style so I love it, they also give you free public bath voucher where you can use it at nearby public bath. The place is about 10-15 minutes walk from the fish market and 3-5 minutes walk to the shopping street.
