"We had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Astrid. We stayed in a double superior room and we liked the added room for two people. Easy walking distance to at least 10 high quality restaurants. Owner is always there and very involved with making sure we were taken care of. It was a wonderful experience both at hotel and the beautiful city of Caen."

"A couple of days exploring the area, Caen made a good base. This is a comfortable b&b (breakfast is extra) parking in place de la république is easy and 3 mins walk. No lift which made it a bit of a hassle with our luggage and no one there to check us in but info was sent via email."

"The room was ok.. hotel was a little tired.. while checking in they stopped checking me to answer the phone which was a little rude. Stake was stone cold when arrived and had to send it back"

"Lovely hotel and nice staff. Great location that was easy to find and park, and plenty to do within walking distance. Hotel has limited but good facilities. Restaurant downstairs was convenient but did have a limited menu if you are picky, and/or dont like seafood."

"3 nights overlooking Omaha Beach, unfortunately the weather was not good, very windy Accommodation was adequate, a comfortable chair would have been nice, good heating and plenty of hot water Bar didn’t open until 6pm with no lunchtime service "

"A gem of a hotel, clean, comfortable, warm, good breakfast and dinner, easy for parking, right in the town centre, 3 minutes walk from the beach. Friendly, welcoming owners and pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. I look forward to staying longer on a future visit. This is a good base for the D-Day trail, a seaside break, Caen and Bayeux (tapestry). Good choice of restaurants outwith the hotel too."
