"We had a great stay! Super clean rooms and very comfy beds. Great communication and a good safe area. Close to trains and grocery store one minute walk away. 10/10 absolutely recommend!"

"Was great stay! Very comfortable room with heating mat which was just perfect for this cold season. Bathroom was also very spacious enough for two people. And thanks for the flexible check in and out!!! And very good location of the stay it’s like 10 mins from the beach. We had great time, thank you very much for the stay. "

"It’s worth noting that this is not a normal hotel but a traditional pilgrim’s lodging, so it is expected that you sleep on a mat on the floor and the facilities are relatively basic. You are staying here for the experience. The property was clean with onsen (hot bath) provided and our room had its own toilet/sink. Our only complaint is that they no longer serve food and we were not notified of this despite this being part of our booking, however we found a restaurant for dinner walking distance...

"The Yamabe allows for a cheap stay at close location of Tenri JR and Kintetsu stations. The proximity of the railway may bother the ones who want a quiet stay, as the train service runs from 5 am to 11 pm. Nonetheless, the hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and have all is needed. For information, toilet and washing facilities are not comprised in the rooms. Although it did not pose me any problem, this may bother some. "

"Excellent Ryokan that has been well maintained and cared for given its long history. The old facility is evident and yet despite that, provided a cosy stay. The host was extremely warm and welcoming and showed the hospitality as one would expect from a traditional Ryokan passed down from decades old. "Hello. I was able to extend my stay by two weeks but I had to contact the management company directly. The people were nice and the process was relatively painless. To do this through Expedia would’ve been more troublesome, I think. The part about GGH that I did not like was when the cleaning staff would come in a clean things up. I had to kind of stay out of their way and they came off as a bit standoff-ish and rude. However, other than that, the other staff were fine. I also think that...

"We thought the staff were so accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We asked to cancel our Japanese breakfast and they applied the cost as a credit toward our dinner meal, which was excellent. Provided an extra pillow and always had fresh towels for the onsen. They also helped with directions to various places we visited. Beautiful view of the river from where you sit in the onsen. Arigatogozaimasu!"
