"I really enjoyed my stay at Yufuin Yamaboshi. I arrived a couple hours before check-in time but was able to leave my luggage at the lobby so I could explore the area. My luggage was sent to my room when i returned. The room was very big and spacious and I enjoyed the experience of a tatami room. The view from my window was also gorgeous. "Great, affordable onsen/ryokan experience, especially for those looking for something less formal & more private. They offer 3 different private baths that you can easily self-reserve via a timeslot board. Bathrooms & refrigerator are shared. Complimentary coffee. The girl who checked me in was perfectly fluent in english (& japanese)."
