"Location is convenient to main train/metro station and 20-30in walk to many sites/tourist area. Staff were pleasant. Room was basic but adequate/cheap for me as a solo traveller staying for a week. I wouldn't have wanted to stay here with a partner. Most other rooms seemed to be occupied by 'residents'. The area around the hotel is rough and dirty. You could call it "character". "La Magnolia Sorrento is well location near the center of Sorrento: 6 mins walk from the bus station, 1 mins from Piazza Tasso, next door to hotel is a little fresh grocery store of fruits, vegetables, breads and cheeses etc for snacks and breakfast items, a wine store, and a excellent pizza and pasta restaurant. 6-8 mins you can walk to Piazza Antonio and walk down to the ferry station or take a lift down. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable and the hosts were really friendly and helpful.
