"The place exceeded expectations from the very beginning where you are greeted at the front entrance. The lobby is large with many tables and seats while waiting for the checkin process. The tatami room was clean and large with a great view of the mountain and Sakura trees. Before dinner a short walk down the hill takes you to Dogo Onsen and small shops. "This is a great resort location but a little inconvenient and somewhat isolated. The rooms are spacious and well serviced. There is 24 hour staffing but limited to basic needs. There are no dining options at the location itself and nearby eating options are limited. The hotel offers free entry to a local onsen about 5-10 minute drive from the hotel. "One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan. Located right next to the JR Imabari station and the end of the Shimanami Kaido Cycling Route. After a long day of cycling, it was a great experience. The staff allowed me to bring my bike into the room and hang it on the wall rack.
