This was my third time staying at National, and overall, I have had positive experiences. However, there are a few areas that I believe could be improved upon.
To begin with, adding some cozy seating areas in the lobby and on the outside would enhance the guest experience.
I did encounter a situation with one of the waitresses that left me feeling disappointed. Despite my repeated explanations that we had already dined and were simply looking to relax, she continued to inquire about placing an order. Additionally, when I tried to taste a mulberry I had purchased on my way to the hotel, I was told in a somewhat abrupt manner that outside food was not permitted unless ordered from the restaurant. This interaction was a bit disheartening.
Furthermore, I encountered a challenge when my sister wanted to accompany me to my room and was asked to provide identification, including her passport, and was not allowed access because they wanted to hold onto her physical passport. While I understand the importance of security measures, this was unnecessary. I felt that the situation could have been handled with more sensitivity and understanding. It was a disappointing experience and inconvenience.
I sincerely hope that under new management, these concerns can be addressed effectively. I appreciate the pleasant aspects of National, including the lovely accommodations, delicious food, and convenient location, and look forward to future stays with improved experiences.
