Good location but it’s a dump

Great view but the ocean is across the street and to get to the “beach access” involves scaling down a cliff. The place is small, dated, and dirty. Appliances are new but everything else kinda sucks. Bed is old and caved in, there is dust everywhere, and the decor is dated. The kitchen items are old and crappy. Do yourself a favor and don’t put your hand under the couch. Lots of cobwebs everywhere. Is this actually a rental or a museum?

Needs some TLC

Great property. Poorly maintained. Toaster broken, toilet leaking , dirty sofa bed mattress, cabinets inside in need of a good scrub. Overall feeling like the bare minimum is being done. Nice place, just neglected by owner/manager.

Only downgraded it slightly because it was old and funny smelling, I think it made me cough. Otherwise, we loved it. My kid said it was his favorite place we've stayed so far.

Birthday get away

Used this as the first night of our stay on the coast. Heading north from here. Place is great and cozy. Got great sleep and felt refreshed in the morning!

Cute little cottage

The cottage was clean and well stocked with the essentials. Beach access was not exactly easy with little kids, but there are easy to get to beaches very close by. It was quiet and lovely and the stars were so bright out there where there is no light pollution. We would definitely stay there again.

Disappointment

We couldn’t go. It’s sad that you can be flexible and “must adhere to your policy” during an ice storm in Oregon. We won’t be booking with Vacasa ever again.

Disappointed

This was a first time for us booking a beach cottage, There were some issues that made it pretty unpleasant unfortunately and I contacted someone but was treated very rudely and no one addressed the problem for us at all. We will be asking for a refund.

Always a delight!

Sea Mist is a lovely beach cottage located near Yachats Oregon. The cottage offers everything you need: a full kitchen, washer/dryer, a comfy bed, and the sound of waves crashing on the shore. I love this place - this was my third visit!

Nice little getaway spot

This is a nice little get-away place . Not overly fancy like many overpriced places are but nice and down to earth. We'd love to return.

Cute but needs a deep cleaning.

The property location is great and its a cute little place. It needs screen windows so that you can air out the ammonia smell, not sure if its from previous pets and there is black mold in various spots.

Great Ocean view

Cottage was clean, bed was comfortable. Had plenty of towels. BBQ had propane. It's nice to have a carport to park under. Handy having a washer and dryer available. Great view of the ocean. Although the highway is between the cottage and the ocean, the cottage sits back from the highway and at a higher elevation so noise from the traffic is minimal and view is not obstructed. Cottage did smell a little musty, but that may be a common problem on the Oregon coast. We had no cellular service in this area, but that may be our carrier (US Cellular). Wifi at the Cottage worked great.

Sea Mist is a Sweet Little Gem

This is my second stay at Sea Mist and I will be back. The cottage is clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need for a great vacation (refrigerator, stove, microwave, washer/dryer, hair dryer, etc.). I love this little place - super comfy and quiet.

Cute, Quiet Little Get Away by the Sea

Easy to rent, close to many things including easy to get to beach access. I recently had Achilles tendon reconstruction surgery and was worried about finding access to beach but had no problems. The only thing I didn't like is how many times I was "encouraged" to "help the staff" by doing the dishes & starting a load of towels AFTER paying almost $200 in extra fees on top of the rental cost and tax. There was no laundry soap so I would have had to buy that in order to do their laundry too. Was a bit disappointed that there we no shells on the beach but loved reading the book with previous renters comments. Trying to watch Netflix was very frustrating & couldn't get IMDB TV only worked once & movie selection is very poor. Luckily the weather was awesome so we spent to time we were in the cabin drinking tea & coffee looking out the windows watching the sea waves roll in. Wonderful waking up to the beautiful beach every morning.
