This property made our trip to Glacier National Park a lifetime memory. We had some issues with the lodging we booked prior to arriving to here, and the people at SkyRun Whitefish were so good to us, trying to get us checked in 2 days early. Due to the timing of things, we could not get in 2 days early and had to find alternate accommodations, but they did get us in 1 day early and we were very thankful for their help!
The property is just as listed. It is adorable, quaint, and intimate. The surrounding area was nice and it was quiet, we never felt unsafe.
We did have a few small issues with the cabin, just minor maintenance issues that is normal wear & tear with vacation rentals. There was no stopper in the tub upstairs, the hand held shower sprayer did not work.... so no one could shower or bathe upstairs, 5 of us were using the one small downstairs bathroom. There was a cover missing from the light fixture/ceiling fan upstairs. Everything worked, it just looked tacky. The jacuzzi water was very cloudy and needed to be drained and refilled. And the front door was very difficult to open and close, my husband was the only one who could operate the door and he had to use his full body weight. Once, I called in these maintenance issues, they had someone come out and take care of the bathroom upstairs and the jacuzzi was cleaner (but it wasn't drained). Calling in maintenance requests isn't my favorite thing to do while on vacation, but sometimes necessary.... however due to the great outdoors, cell phone signal is not easy to come by in this area, so I missed a lot of communication with them while we were out hiking, all communication had to occur while we were at the cabin, which was usually after hours for the management office.
These are all minor inconveniences, but just aggravating when you are on vacation, Regardless, the office was wonderful about responding, they cannot control lack of cell phone signal.
The worst part of the cabin, and what will keep us from returning to this property next year..... the beds were all very uncomfortable. Most people vacationing here come for physical activity whether skiing, hiking, mountain biking, etc. So a comfortable bed and a good nights sleep is imperative. The twins upstairs were not too horrible, but the sofa bed was atrocious and the master/queen was worn and springy!
