I had been watching reviews of this property like a hawk after I booked I noticed several poor reviews and then was worried I should have researched more. We were overall thankful for previous review so some of the negative aspects weren’t a surprise but the positives outweighed the negatives. The property is easy to find right off Hwy 101 and plenty of parking space for our suv. We loved the hot tub and used it every night and that counter acted the low amount of hot water in the upstairs shower. We found lots of shells and enjoyed the otters or Sea lions we spotted playing right out front. The section of Big Stump beach felt very private and we loved morning and evening walks on the beach. The property had plenty of towels in both bathrooms and we found a luggage rack in the upstairs bedroom closet which I think another poster had mentioned the property lacked. We bought groceries in Newport and cooked most of our meals on property and had most everything we needed as far as pots and pans. A few basic spice options beyond salt and pepper would have been helpful but with the times I know it’s probably hard to provide those types of things for multiple people to use. We did bring our own dust pan since one of the recent reviews mentioned there wasn’t one. My husband also had to make a store stop for more dish soap as the small bottle provided wasn’t enough and we used our paper grocery bags as garage liners after the provided trash bags ran out. Glad we booked!

Great location, loved walking the beach. Hot tub was lovely. Views are perfect! We got the moon setting over the ocean early in the morning, beautiful!! Gorgeous sunsets. The space was clean and super cute. There wasn’t a dustpan. That’s my only complaint.

Very good, but beware of the cons
Pros: wonderful beds, hot tub was hot and deck was private and clean, place was mostly very clean, you can’t beat the ocean front views, easy beach access and ease of finding the place and parking. Cons: - upstairs shower was lukewarm, no way you could use the tub unless u like cold bathtubs. -Downstairs shower was better but turned all the way hot was just barely comfortable for a shower. -Place was very cold when we got there, all the wall heaters were turned to 50. -Hot tub has grime on one side. -Asked about the fireplace and was replied with “fireplace is not listed in the amenities”. So they have false advertising on the fireplace, it’s only there for looks. -Also the couch they have in the photo is different than the one they have there so that is deceiving.

Short trip due to bad weather but looking forward to our next trip. House was nice would like better living room furniture. We were glad there was only 4 of us and not 6 since 2 would be sitting on kitchen table chairs while there. Also make sure to bring kitchen spices and such. Very limited supplies (salt & pepper & coffee filters). Don’t forget a flashlight other than your phone, especially if you have a pet to walk at night. It is dark. Which is great for sleep!

Beautiful views!
Beautiful views! Could definitely use an upgrade to the kitchens utensils, pots and pans & add some more silverware. Fireplace still doesn’t work as seen in previous reviews but the hot tub and view was great and the king bed upstairs was very comfortable. Also has a nice view from master bedroom and is just a short walk down to the beach.

Overall ok but not great
Floors dirty, hole in bedroom door, scratches and such I wanted to point out so we didn’t get charged. Fireplace never worked although I did let management know, hoped they could fix for second night but never did. Overall though, beautiful location and the hot tub was awesome.

Bad management
Three days to get broken toaster fixed. Listed for 6 people. Only 5 chairs at table, 4 forks, 4 butter knives, 4 cereal bowls, etc, bedroom lower floor has 2 queen size beds….but no closet and no dressers. We stored our clothes in our suitcases on the floor and the second bed. Very clean with great view….just bad management. We we tree told that the toaster works….we just didn’t like how it works…therefore they would not replace it. The inside element wire was broken and toasted only one side of the bread. Three days of phone calls and demanding management involvement finally got it replaced. Very poor management decisions.

Great location, nice beds, but otherwise extremely disappointing and overpriced
The location of this rental can’t be beat. Unfortunately it does not live up to the listing -- it was not properly cleaned, the wifi didn't work (rendering the television completely useless), the gas fireplace didn't work, and there is not enough hot water to be able to use the beautiful tub. Visiting in the spring time, when the weather can be cold and unpredictable, we had planned on watching movies together and being able to enjoy a fire and possibly a nice, hot bath. In reading other reviews, these issues (especially the wifi) seem to be repeated complaints that Vacasa has done nothing to improve over the course of a few years. And despite attempts while we were there and several phone calls and emails afterwards to rectify the issues, Vacasa has just given me a run-around and promised increasingly smaller refunds that they have yet to fulfill -- nearly 5 months later. This property is way overpriced for what it actually delivers on, and I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Beautiful view and nice beach. Only 1 parking space for up to 6 people. Very limited cookware, warped pans, no sheet pan. Bedding was stained. A 3 to 4 foot weed was at the front door. Not worth the price.

Fun Family Getaway
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was as expected, sparsely decorated with bare minimum essentials but other reviews had prepared us for such. Beach access was convenient and never crowded. Great sand for morning walks and chasing waves. Bring a kite as it can be quite windy. The deck provided an enjoyable space for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Several restaurant, grocery, shopping and tourist options are a short drive away in either direction, Yachats and Newport. Will definitely be back next year.

We enjoyed our stay, it was so clean, and everything was new. Beautiful deck and gorgeous beaches. Pet friendly and just an all around wonderful cottage to stay in to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

Very nicely remodeled space, a great place to spend some time.
Overall this is a great place to spend a few days at the beach. The views are amazing and it was clean and pretty well maintained. Just a few things to mention to make it a 10 out of 10. As in other reviews, it could use a bench or something in the bedrooms to put your bags & clothes down on. We also experienced a bit of a vial smell due to the septic tanks apparently overflowing below the unit. It wasn't a constant problem but when the wind was just right, it was a bit annoying. If you plan to cook, plan to bring all your spices (even salt and pepper), and everything you need. They do have pots, pans and the basic utensils but anything special, bring yourself. And if I'm being picky, there are no real usable grass areas but who really needs them when you have a beach. The only grass area is where the previously overflowing septic is so I wouldn't go down there! Other than those few things, I doubt anyone would be disappointed. It's a great place.

Girl’s weekend
Perfect view for two old friends to enjoy while catching up. Beach access was great. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We plan to make this an annual vacation.

Nice spot. Amazing bathtubs. Only suggestions are too add a few rugs (particularly at the front door, to make it easier not to clean off wet/sandy shoes when you step in), would be great to get a salt shaker for the kitchen, and I knew the fireplace was not working from the listing but getting that going would make it cozier.

I enjoyed the property, easy beach access which was nice and beautiful views from the house. No place to hang coats upon entry and no good place to store shoes. Kitchen supplies very sparse - bring all the ingredients you will need if you plan to cook. Adequately appointed cook ware and Equipement. fire place didn't work - too bad in the rainy weather hot water not very hot and ran out quickly
