We were only here for one night, but it was a really depressing experience.
The place itself is ok, not terrible but definitely nothing special by the standards of good Caribbean hotels.
We arrived tired after a long day’s travelling. It took a ridiculously long time to check in – we had to fill out a long form with all the information we had already submitted online, and then sit and wait while the receptionist typed it all again into a computer.
Eventually we were shown to our room. We then waited for AN HOUR AND A HALF for our bags to be brought to the room – a five minute journey in a hotel that was very far from busy. We phoned four times to ask what had happened to them, and each time we were told that they were coming immediately. We weren’t allowed to go to the restaurant, because of COVID quarantine, so they brought some really expensive food (which was actually very nice) to our room – served in styrofoam containers with plastic knives and forks, like a cheap takeaway.
I know we were in quarantine, but I also know that this wasn’t necessary. The hotel we moved to the next day (The Liming – heavenly) brought our food on proper plates with proper cutlery.
Not a place we ever want to return to.
