Ride the famous Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island, enjoy one of the worlds great skylines and see the night sky light up in a symphony of light and sound.

Victoria Harbour is one of the world’s great harbors, providing a breathtaking setting between incredible skylines of the Kowloon Peninsula and Hong Kong Island. This waterway is one of the world’s great seaports and offers a shoreline filled with cultural, shopping, dining and recreational attractions.

Victoria Harbour is a natural harbor that separates the central business district of Hong Kong from the markets and cultural landmarks on the Kowloon Peninsula. Its deep, sheltered waters were crucial to Hong Kong’s development as a British colony as ships used it to trade in Asian spices. Gaze down upon the bustling waterway from Victoria Peak to see just some of the thousands of international cruise liners and container ships that pass through each year.

The best harbor views are to be found on the Kowloon Peninsula along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. Here you’ll find five-star hotels, restaurants and malls, and cultural institutions like the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Space Museum and Art Museum. Join locals for an early morning jog or Tai Chi class by the promenade. Wander the Avenue of Stars which pays tribute to the stars of Hong Kong’s film industry. Don’t miss the opportunity to have your photograph taken next to the statue of kung fu film legend, Bruce Lee.

For incredible views of the entire Hong Kong skyline, hop on an iconic and inexpensive Star Ferry, or book a morning, sunset or evening scenic cruise with all the trimmings. Once on the water, enjoy 360-degree views of one of the world’s most impressive cityscapes, with architectural highlights including Stonecutters Island, the Hong Kong Bank and the Tsing Ma Bridge.

In the evenings, join the hundreds who gather along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade to experience the Symphony of Lights. This light, laser and sound spectacular begins nightly at 8pm and is a celebration of the human spirit.

Ferries and cruise boats depart from the Star Ferry Pier on the Kowloon side of the harbor, and Central Pier No. 7 and Wan Chai Ferry Pier on the Hong Kong Island side.

Some parts are under upgrading renovation. Took the Star ferry to cross over from Kowloon to Hong Kong insted of taking the MTR just for the sake of having a different experience

A ferry ride is a must on your visit. We went from Kowloon to both terminals on the island. The Central pier is close to the Central metro stop and walkable from the markets near the long escalators . The raised walkways near the Central metro stop are wonderful!

The view up there is amazing!! Super touristy though! Make sure to purchase tickets before hand. It’s really crowded.
