Great location, 1st floor walk-up in very old building, but poor fittings, outdated tired bathroom equipment, ridiculously small corner shower (1/4 section of a 72cm circle), noisy mechanical toilet, no ventilation in the bathroom, bathroom door in glass precluding any privacy, wifi very slow or unresponsive. We were in the room Tebaldo.
Terrible breakfast, worst of our 7 days in Italy. Except for some refrigerated whole fruit and 1 (just one!) brioche in the form of a croissant, everything else came in cellophane packages and sealed plastic containers. No bread, no toaster, no sliced prosciutto as in most other hotels, no cooked food.
There was a frother for making latte cofffee.
The bed was quite firm, which we prefer but some may not, and the pillows were very hard, uncomfortable even, most likely made from bultex. Aircon was good.
Overall, the old world charm of the building and location are not enough to compensate for the substandard equipment and bad breafast. IMHO, this B&B is not good value for money, I cannot recommend it.
