"Our stay at Ruokan Hiyoshi was the highlight of our day trip to Chichibu. "The outdoor private onsen is amazing. Staff with limited English but willing to help. The booking system for the private onsen is based on first come first serve, no reservation ahead so you have to keep calling front desk to check for availability....that needs to be changed. Other than that, I'd recommend it to those who enjoy traditional Japanese Ryokan."

"The hospitality of the staff from the front desk, ushers, servers, restaurant staff were superb and outstanding. They were attentive, considerate and polite. The food served during dinner were fantastic. We had their dinner 2 nights in a row and my family agreed that this has to be one of the best meals we have had in Japan hotel so far in this trip. The high quality hospitality and food made us overlook the slightly older condition of the hotel. We will definitely recommend and visit here...
