Bottom line: You will be glad you booked this!
Somehow this property offers both cozy intimacy and airy connection with nature. The house itself is slightly larger than a tiny house, but plenty roomy for a few people. The grounds include decks upon decks and four seating options outside. So… small house, roomy outside. With the ocean views, you’ll want to be outside as much as possible. You can see the water from the many windows in the home as well.
The views were even better than expected. We thought they even topped some of the views from the nearby state parks!
We appreciated the landscaping and container gardens as well. They add a lot of charm.
The interior is all-wood and feels like being inside a luxurious sailboat. I believe this is intentional, as the owners are avid sailors. It has tons of character and is decorated with lots of textiles and natural materials. The bed was VERY comfortable, with nice linens. Quality cookware is provided too.
The property is located on a scenic road with some gravel and one-way passages. That said, it’s about 10 min away from groceries and restaurants. You get the benefits of feeling totally isolated when you’re on the property, but being close to the town of Trinidad. This is also a good launching point for the Redwood parks. The landscaping hides the property from the road, further enhancing privacy, especially while using the outdoor tub.
The property was clean and had all the basic amenities.
Would absolutely stay here again if we return to the area.
