Appreciate this was a housein a suburb of Tokyo but I personally didn’t like it here.
Communication was a little difficult and despite providing all relevant information such as passport details etc was again asked via links to a Google drive that had server issues, so couldn’t access them.
As a result I wasn’t sure if more information was needed or not or whether the information already provided had been received. Not the slickest method.
We arrived late, it was dark and raining, and having found the house, (which was difficult in the conditions), upon opening the door and entering, I hit my head on the very low door frame. It was so hard, I nearly knocked myself out. There was very little light and no warning of the low door, so beware on entering.
The house was cold and after working out the air con, it took a long time to warm up.
The WiFi, although the signal was strong, the WiFi didn’t work. We could not access anything. Good job I had pocket WiFi.
The downstairs toilet had no sink to wash your hands so you had to wash them in the kitchen sink. Not great!
The stairs were steep (which I get for this type of house) but again very low beams which you could hit your head on.
Mattresses were uncomfortable and the bedroom poorly lit.
To be honest, we only stayed the one night and left the next day not to return.
We had just stayed in an apartment in Kyoto which was far superior and cost less than this. No comparison. Unfortunately, can’t recommend
