Overlooking Lake Arenal, this fully furnished custom home features a master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, as well as a half bath, laundry, living room, eat-in kitchen and 2 covered porches, front and rear. The full sized kitchen is finished with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and handcrafted hardwood cabinets. The terrace level has an open staircase descending to bedrooms 2 and 3 with a full bath and a fully covered porch accessible from either bedroom. The West-facing rear porches provide amazing sunset views over the lake and distant hills.
Casa de Nuestros Sueños takes full advantage of an incredible jungle canopy view surrounded by the lake and rolling hills. Birds and wildlife can be observed from the numerous spacious terraces, and howler monkeys can be heard as they make their way through the canopy around the lake.
Conveniently located on Lake Arenal, a short drive (5-10 min.) to Nuevo Arenal for groceries and any other necessities. Experience walking on hanging bridges in the rainforest and Sloth watching a short forty-five minute drive to the Southeast, beautiful Playa Hermosa beach an hour and forty five minutes to the West, and enjoy a short hike to the amazing blue waterfall at Tenorio Volcano National Park, approximately an hour and fifteen minute drive Northwest. Great place in playa flamingo. The property was as described . The outside pool area is amazing . The house itself needs some renovations- beds are cranky and a bit small and shower is old . We had an issue with our toilet that was immediately taken care of. other than that- it was a great stay. Thank you Tim and Fabian!

Beautiful home with lake views
This was a great base for our activities - 1 hour to La Fortuna and 1.5 hours to Monteverde. We hiked Arenal Volcano national park, visited La Fortuna waterfall, hanging bridges and ziplining in Monteverde (be sure to rent a 4x4 if you go there - roads are not great), spent a day at Springs Resort with a day pass (a splurge but was so worth it!), and ATV tour. First time visiting this area of Costa Rica and it is now my favorite! Our weather was amazing and the house has great balconies for enjoying sunsets and the cool morning breezes. The house was also well stocked. Loved the layout, every bedroom opens onto a balcony. Mary, the property manager was very responsive to my questions and even stopped in to introduce herself. Do follow Britney’s instructions to stop at supermarket for any food items on way from Liberia. There are no large grocery stores nearby, just a smaller market that doesn’t have a lot. Also loved the recommendation for Casa Italia! It was very good. Only negative - lake roads are full of twists and turns and narrow so recommend being back at the house before dark, other than eating at a close by restaurant. The pool is also within walking distance and a nice thing to have on warmer days. You can drive to it but not necessary if you don’t mind hilly walks. This home exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect home for numerous day trips with a lot of places to dine and shop nearby. The deck was fabulous with a great view. If you are looking for quiet and solitude after a day of exploring this is the place to be. This is a quality built home with every amenity needed.

Beautiful property
Clean, well-kept home. We stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed our time immensely. I think we saw more birds here than in the tourist sites. We hope to return soon.

best stop on our visit
this was our last stay of 4 in Costa Rica and the best by far. the home was well built and maintained with quality materials. (it really felt like a home away from home) the views were great and the property manager was super. El Corral restaurant was close by with fantastic food and the Venado cave tours cant be missed.

Clean, quiet and spacious home in a wonderful area
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. It was clean, quiet, well furnished and had everything we needed. Views are magnificent with great sunsets. The cross breeze was a nice way to keep the house cool and the community pool a welcomed option to take in the wonderful surroundings. We enjoyed our strolls through the neighborhood and of course our trips to the amazing volcano, waterfalls (Celeste is a must if you want to see surreal turquoise water) and other nearby attractions. The house is a bit of a drive to the La Fortuna area but who bothers when one drives through a beautiful country. The restaurant recommendations were very helpful with Cafe Macademia being our favorite. The guided Mistico Hanging Bridges tour was another standout where we saw animals one would no have spotted alone. As one previous guest mentioned the dogs...they only barked occasionally and the owner took immediately care of it. No bother to us at all. Overall a fantastic stay. Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home!

We stayed with our three teenage boys and were pleasantly surprised. The pictures didn’t do it justice. It was bigger than I envisioned. The communication with the owner was excellent. The recommendations for restaurants were wonderful. You must go to Casa Italia!

Beautiful views
Amazing property, great views, and beautiful inside. Property was nicely located and close to some wonderful little towns. Only issue we had was the house up the hill that had 2 Great Pyrenees dogs that stood on their porch and barked at you constantly, but worst part was when they did it at 5am in the mornings.

Nuevo Arenal lake house
This property was exactly as described, and exactly what we wanted. Our morning coffee on the deck was started with an abundance of birds to photograph and wonderful weather. The availability of restaurants and attractions for us was perfect. For us, we appreciated the quietness of the property after a busy day of tours. Truly a Home Away from Home but by Beautiful Lake Arenal
When we first walked into the house it exceeded our expectations and the pictures on the website does not do the place justice! It was the perfect sized house for our family with two teenagers that each loved having their own room and space. However you could easily have three couples comfortably stay here too. If I were to purchase a vacation home I would consider it an ideal house for myself. The house instantly felt like a home and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we always woke up well rested. The balconies with the birds in the surround trees and quiet location off the highway made it great to just sit and enjoy coffee while watching hummingbirds, toucans, parakeets and all kinds of other birds. We could hear the howler monkeys but they didn’t come close enough while we were at the house to see them. The bird pamphlet was a great simple touch. It was never hard waking up at sunrise to listen and watch the birds. The restaurant recommendations given to us were awesome and greatly appreciated, we tried most of them and they were all unique and great in their own ways. The owner was always quick to respond and was helpful with any questions we had. We were very fortunate to have such a great place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

great central location if you want to visit. we visited mounteverde, arenal, rio celeste, fortuna, hot springs…. and to come back every night to this amazing home. woke up every morning to lots of birds, including toucans and parrots no problem recommending this property thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Wonderful time in the Lake Arenal area
We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful property! It was left for us in perfect condition and the location worked well for us as it was between Tenorio National Park and Arenal National Park where we had different hikes planned. The views of the lake and the lush landscape were serene. Jim and Britney were so helpful in giving us some great recommendations for dinners which we really appreciated! Would highly recommnend!

Not to only echo earlier reviews, but photos definitely don't do this place justice! Tierras Morenas is EXTREMELY well appointed, with an ideal layout and amenities that made it very easy to settle in and relax. The owners seemingly thought of, and provided, for our most important needs during our stay - it really is everything the description mentioned and more. One point to note, the location is convenient if you have a car/set transportation. We found it remote otherwise, but still managed to to get food etc. (the manager provided very helpful advice in this regard), and the location added to the idyllic nature of our stay. So very peaceful, lush, and beautiful. Our only wish is that we had more time to spend here and we definitely hope to come back.

This house looks great in the photos on the listing but is truly better than advertised!
I came to this house with high expectations, but quickly found those expectations to be exceeded by reality. The house itself is modest, very nice but modest. However the view, and the wild life, and the overall locations is absolutely beautiful. Every morning while drinking my coffee on the back deck, overlooking lake arenal and the dense forest, I would watch toucan’s fly from tree to tree, hummingbirds dart around in the dozens, and many other amazing sites. Then at night I would relax with a glass of wine and just listen to the cacophony of birds, lizards and frogs harmonize. Everything in between those hours were pretty great as well. I definitely recommend this house and would stay again if ever back in that part of the country.
