The Blue Oak is nestled in the center of the iconic historic downtown St. Charles. We are only a few steps from Main Street, The Katy Trail, and the Missouri River. There is little the downtown area doesn't offer, including fine and simple dining, shopping, bike rentals, yoga, fishing, casinos, museums, you name it!

Every detail of your stay has been purposefully crafted to give you the best experience possible, and help you leave feeling refreshed. We look forward to you enjoying your stay!

Modern and Mid-Century design housed in a Craftsman style bungalow. We have comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to 10 guests! 🏡 🖐🏽🤚🏽

Grab one of our yoga mats 🧘🏾‍♂️ 🧘🏼‍♀️ or small array of workout gear 💪🏼and enjoy getting your blood pumping under the canopy of 100 year old maples. 🌳 We offer complementary coffee/teas. You will find fun spots for 'photo booths' on the grounds too! We have games, 📚 books, and chalk boards for the kid at heart. Let your artistic side shine with our fun art loft 🎨 stocked with new art supplies. 🛁 The bathroom is completely remodeled with brushed gold fixtures, deep tub, subway tile and Italian style floor tile. Super Cute, Fabulous Location!!!
The house was super cute, and lots of fun! Location to Main Street was probably walkable, but we had snow so we drove. We had room to play games and watch Christmas movies at the end of our day in downtown Saint Charles! Fantastic weekend!

Amazing place to stay!
This property was within walking distance to historic downtown, which was great! The decor, the ease of check-in/check-out, the attention to detail was all just pretty cool top notch. It was comfy, had everything you could need, had a fun area for the kiddos and also had a fun game that kept us entertained for one of the evenings. And btw, we did find all 25 keys! Would definitely recommend!!!!!

Lindenwood Football Visit
Our second (but not last) stay at the Blue Bungalow! We travel up to watch our son play and always bring his futbaby to visit. This is the perfect location and has everything that you need!

Lindenwood Visit
This was the perfect stay for our visit to watch our son play football! We have stayed at many VRBOs in the area the last 2 years and this has by far been our favorite! Great location to school and quick walk to Main Street fun. House has great layout and vibe! Along with a kitchen and dining area that worked perfect for our stay. The best part, for us, is they were dog friendly! Our fur baby travels with us and he is a GREAT house guest! It's so hard to find amazing properties, like this one, that love fur babies as much as we do! We will be staying here for years to come!!!

Weekend with friends
My two girls and three of their friends spent the weekend in St Charles to celebrate my daughter’s upcoming wedding. They loved the house and its location. Enjoyed exploring the area. The manager was excellent. The house was extremely clean and worked perfectly for the weekend. Would definitely stay at this house again.

Great property and location
Th house was great and just what we were looking for during our stay. The house was clean and very nicely decorated! The house is very close to Main Street and we were able to walk there if needed. There was also ample street parking at the house. Overall we loved out trip!

The house was in a prime location and offered everything we needed. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The owner answered all questions within minutes, and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. I would absolutely stay here again!!!

HOST CANCELLED ON US AT THE LAST MINUTE
Several girlfriends and I booked our stay for June 23-25 on May 27. On the day before we were to arrive (June 22), I received a message from the host letting me know that "VRBO messed up and double booked the property" and requesting that I "cancel the reservation." As a short term rental owner myself, I know full well how the platforms work - they don't allow double bookings. If there is one, it is the host's error due to not syncing calendars on competing platforms. When I questioned the host on the specifics and why she was asking me to cancel, she didn't have a straight answer and continued to blame VRBO. It was clear to me that she wasn't being 100% honest and was asking me to cancel instead of taking responsibility for a scheduling error. I spoke with VRBO and they assured me that there is no way for VRBO to double book a property and that under no circumstances should I cancel my reservation. If I cancelled, I would not get my money back. In the end, we scrambled to find alternate places to stay (necessitating one night at one place and then moving to another location for the second night) and had a great weekend. While I can't comment on the property itself, I was extremely disappointed that the host waited until the last minute to tell us about the issue even though she claimed that both bookings occurred on the same day (May 27, more than 3 weeks before we were notified). To date, I have not received my refund.

HISTORIC DREAMY PROPERTY
This home was exactly like the pictures. Very clean, very comfortable, and updated. Even the attic/loft was very comfortable with an A/C unit. Our son Will enjoyed escaping up there to his own personal space. There was the nice bonus of basic pantry items available so we didn't buy a lot of basics (ie salt and pepper, spices, sugar, teas) Gina was very kind and quickly responded to any questions. We would love to stay at the Blue Oak again. It was wonderful!!
