「We spent two nights at the Marlin Motel after completing the Queen Charlotte track. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was lovely. The owner was very kind and helpful. We felt refreshed and ready to travel on . 」

My first night was unexpected—I needed an ambulance to the local hospital after a fall on the ferry—but the staff at Bay Vista were incredibly attentive throughout the whole ordeal. They checked on me during the ambulance visit and followed up the next day to make sure I was doing okay (four sutures along my hairline). 「ピクトンフェリーターミナル、長距離バス乗り場から徒歩15分以内。小さな町なのでホテルはすぐわかります。ウエリントンからフェリーで着いて荷物を預け昼食後にチェックイン。広くて明るい部屋でしたが、プールの喧騒が少し気になりました。ツインルーム、シャワーのみ、ただし可動式で湯量は多く問題なし。湯沸かし、コーヒー、紅茶あり。良くない点としてはWi-Fiの接続がとても悪いこと、レースのカーテンが無かったことぐらい。ピクトンの町は小さくてどこに行くにも便利で、食事もレストラン、カフェ、テークアウト、スーパーなんでもあり、景色が良くて可愛らしく、ウオーキングも楽しめてあっという間の3日間でした。」
