「This place is in a great location in downtown Panama City, Panama, but the building is infected with roaches. We had to kill at least ten roaches in the apartment that we were staying in. I messaged the host to send a exterminator, but he never did. The hot water heater also doesn't work. The hot water only stayed on for about 5 minutes, in the bathroom shower and then it was cold again. The maintenance guy came twice, but it didn't work. We took lukewarm to cold showers while we stayed there....

「We were looking for a vacation that had the best of both worlds meaning the urban parts of Panama City and the historical neighbourhood of Cisco Viejo. This location was perfect. You are within walking distance of manys shops and restaurants and if you're like us we also walked to the new city as well as across the Causeway. The apartment was very modern and clean with all of the amenities you could ask for. I would absolutely stay here again !!」

「Very quiet and clean condo with stunning views of the Gulf of Panama and ships waiting to enter the Panama Canal, and the rain forest surrounding the Playa Bonita condo complex and Westin hotel. Convenient grocery shopping near by and easy drive to Panama City (although traffic over the Bridge of the Americas was often congested). The rooftop pool was nice and convenient for our purposes. The only disappointment was that there was no working TV in either bedroom and the TV in the living room was...

「The property is not called New Modern Ocean View - very misleading for locating the complex. Local cab drivers or Uber drivers had difficulty finding it, the name of this property is HP Boutique Del Mar. The property is about two years old and is still going through growing pains.The property manager who has the office in the building speaks English and was a great help with issues we presented her with. Many times she went beyond her call of duty. We have encountered very few Panamanians who...

「No Communication with Host. No access to property. Not even an address to go to. Just takes your money and leaves you stranded. Don't book VRBO ! They have 3 hour wait times ( your are calling from a different country) Promises you help and escalation that never comes. I don't even bother to write more since VRBO won't approve this review anyway.」

「We had an excellent stay at this property. Spacious, beautiful views and attentive host. The check-in process was smooth and the host was very timely with meeting us. Also, there was an issue with one of the A/C units during out stay and the host addressed it immediately! We had to extend a few times waiting on lost travel documents and were accommodated without issue. We would definitely stay here again, as well as other properties that are hosted by Tony. One caution, which Tony pointed out...

「Beware of this host. This host confirmed my reservation and then went MIA the day of check-in. I was stuck in the lobby of the building with my whole family and no access to the unit. VRBO tried to contact him with no success. I had to scramble to find another place last minute which ended up costing more. Beware.」

「If you are looking for a basic apartment with bare minimum, then this is great! It’s referenced as luxury, but there was a sheet on each bed, pillows were flat, only a couch for 2-3 ppl & dining chairs. The photos shows the unit well decorated, but it’s pretty bare upon arrival. The cleanliness also could be better. Parking was also tight, so smaller car recommended. Gave it 4 stars overall, as it was $79/ night when we rented. So got what we paid for.」

「We enjoyed staying here! It was larger than we expected with a good size laundry room (the laundry machine is a washer dryer). We had success parking our small car under ground in the parkade. Small cars only as the parkade has a small car elevator.The accommodation has an 24/7 concierge and we found him to be incredibly helpful. 「I likes the location, the building is really nice and has the amenities i desired. The unit was very tastefully decorated and top of the line appliances,and housewares. The floor i was on was noisy. Smoke detectors work, went off Tuesday 2:30 a.m. and Wednesday 3:30 a.m. Why someone cooking that early?? 」
