"I like all the antique setting. It made me feel back to grandma's house. It made me feel home. We have difficulty to turn on stove and the manager showed up quickly to show us about the stove. There are washroom on every floor and several showers in the basement. "

"A great tiny cottage on a working farm. There are 6 cottages available each with a small private deck. We could go out at various hours to watch the northern lights without disturbing others. There is no TV but we had wifi and the amazing scenery to keep us occupied. The owner was helpful and breakfast great. Dinner is provided if requested in advance. Highly recommend. Cozy is the best word to describe it."

"My spouse and I booked the Fosshotel Hellnar as a stop on our Iceland road trip. It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. The room was spacious, comfortable and the heated bathroom floor tiles were such an appreciated luxury to us that day. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel...

"Incredibly cute house and very nice property. Nice to have access to kitchen and dining area. It is however an incredibly old house, which means you can hear everything - made us very aware of any noise we made - talking, walking, etc. Very glad we stayed here as was a very unique property, just something to keep in mind as felt very aware of any sounds we made. "

"The surrounding area is beautiful and the cottage was cozy. Staff was also very friendly. My only complaint is that we didn’t find out until entering our unit and seeing a sign on the bathroom that they don’t get much hot water. The sign says to use hot water sparingly. I made sure to get all the way in the shower before turning the water on given the warning. The warm water didn’t even last 2minutes before turning ice cold. "Out of 12 days in Iceland, this was the best stay experience we had. Artur and Konstantin were so nice and helpful, even for just two guests. They bent over backwards for us, had great recommendations, the best food we’ve had, and made us feel so at home. This place is a hidden gem and I hope many, many more people go and see them! "
