Our stay at Aeolos Hotel was quite disappointing due to several issues. We were unexpectedly charged over €40 in city fees for a 6-night stay, despite being informed that the total would be only €15, payable at the property. Additionally, the hotel falsely advertised having a gym, which did not exist.
There was no iron available as advertised, and the toiletries consisted of two questionable tiny bottles of shampoo/body wash that were not replaced daily. The swimming pool was in appalling condition, with rusty metal bar holders and a very rough concrete floor and walls (instead of tiles or vinyl), albeit a suitable option if you’re after a foot or body scrub.
To make matters worse, the reception staff seemed annoyed every time we requested a pool towel.
On a positive note, Nick, the pool bartender, and the breakfast waitress were friendly and attentive. The location is well situated. However, given the price, current condition, and level of customer service, this is a 3-star hotel at best.
