"This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time). "An excellent place to stay if you’re biking the Shimanami Kaidō. The views are breathtaking, and the apartment is incredibly comfortable. "One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Japan. Located right next to the JR Imabari station and the end of the Shimanami Kaido Cycling Route. After a long day of cycling, it was a great experience. The staff allowed me to bring my bike into the room and hang it on the wall rack. There was a happy hour with free drinks from 6-9pm - sake, wine, spirits, etc. There was also a free coffee machine in the lobby. The room was clean and spacious. If you are looking for a place to stay after a long day of cycling, look no further!"
