Summary:
The Gallery is a stunning beach hideaway with spectacular views, situated on the foreshores of the beautiful, historic bay of 1770, the birthplace of Queensland where Captain Cook landed all those years ago. A leisurely stroll to the beautiful parkland, cafe, pub, Marina and beaches. A 10 minute drive to Agnes Water, where guests can find cafes, pubs, and other amenities, as well as the pristine five kilometre long Agnes Water Surf Beach. Pets are welcome, please get in touch ($100/pet/stay).
The Space:
The Gallery offers two queen bedrooms with stunning bay views, alongside a full kitchen, and an open-plan lounge and dining area.
Outside, there's a spacious outdoor area boasting a BBQ, ample seating, and breathtaking views of the bay.
Downstairs, guests will find a large bedroom furnished with a single bed, a set of single bunk beds, and a queen/single bunk bed, along with a lounge area featuring a TV and a generously-sized bathroom.
The property also features a large wrap-around deck with outdoor seating and an additional BBQ, as well as a laundry room equipped with a washing machine.
Nestled amidst lush greenery, the house offers serene views of the surrounding bay area.
While Wi-Fi is available, guests should note that Vodafone service is unavailable in the area, and other mobile networks may have limited coverage in Agnes Water & 1770.
Given the natural surroundings, guests may encounter local wildlife such as bugs, lizards, frogs, and birds on the verandah and in garden areas.
Small to medium-sized pets are welcome, with prior arrangement and an $80 fee per pet per stay.
It's important to note that while the top level of the house is fenced to contain pets, the lower level remains unfenced.
***Please be aware that the neighbours are doing some construction work on their property, meaning there is the sound of construction work throughout the day.

The Neighborhood:
The area is surrounded by National Parks, pristine waterways and long stretches of unspoiled beaches which front onto the Coral Sea.
Along the headlands of Seventeen Seventy visitors are offered amazing panoramic views across Bustard Bay, the estuary & creeks.
We enjoy an excellent year-round climate with Queensland’s northernmost surf beach at Agnes Water for surfing and beach activities.
Along the Bay at 1770 you can walk along the parklands and enjoy kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding.
It is a short drive to the variety of cafes & boutique shops in the Agnes Water shopping Village or walk down to the beautiful Agnes Water surf beach for a leisurely day along the water.
A vibrant Sunday market takes place every second weekend.
Getting Around:
We recommend guests have a vehicle to travel around the area.
There is a shuttle bus that can offer tours, pick up/drop off services from your accommodation, the train station or airport. Please get in touch for more information.
There is a tourism information centre in Agnes Water.
Nearest airports: Gladstone and Bundaberg - 75 kilometres.
Nearest train stop: Miriam Vale - 50 kilometres.
Bus: Greyhound travels to the area daily.
The bus stop is at the Ampol service station in Agnes Water, approx. 8 kilometres away.
Please note that Vodafone does not work in this area.
Other Things to Note:
Please be advised that The Gallery has a steep, uneven 14-step walk from the parking area to the house. The parking is accessed via an incline. The lower part of the house does not have internal access to the upper part of the house, the staircase is outside.
Unfortunately, the property is not suited to wheelchair users or mobility impaired guests.
