Overall, a great stay and the property is as advertised. It was just me for this trip, but there was plenty of room for larger groups. The kitchen is the star of the show, and is fully outfitted with all the dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. to have a great night in. The deck in the back is a close second. The fans and roof provide shade to make for a very relaxing retreat, even as the temps begin to climb. Would definitely recommend this property.
The only hesitations, and the reasons for a couple of the 4-star ratings instead of 5 are:
- the location is quiet and a very short drive to the touristy areas as well as the hikes. However, traffic can build up since there’s only one main road, and it can be a very slow crawl to get anywhere especially on the weekend
- the neighborhood is quiet but there are no street lights, so it would not be advisable to walk around at night
- the rental agreement is very restrictive and basically signs away all your rights in favor of the property owner. As there is a no cancellations policy in this rental, it is advisable to read it before you complete your reservation. It’s not in the initial listing, but as you go through the checkout process, a link comes up which is very easy to miss (I did). Now, nothing happened, but this is a company that owns/manages this property (as opposed to an individual), and their lawyers have made sure they bear literally 0 liability for anything if something does happens. Caveat emptor as they say.
