The place is beautiful- a traditional Santa Fe adobe-style, has great closet space, great views, and is quiet. It is on a rise, and because of this it has better views than most locations in Tesuque which is in a valley. One thing the listing did not make it clear is that it is not a stand-alone building, but connected to at least two additional units. We had a problem getting a good nights’ sleep there. We arrived in the evening and tried to turn the heat on with the thermostat which was in the living room area, but it didn’t work. I contacted the property owner who offered to turn the heat on remotely, but that only turned on a split in the bedroom, not the baseboard heaters throughout. After about an hour, the bedroom was too hot and the living room was still cold. We ended up making a fire every night, and while that was nice, the warmth didn’t last the night and the pull-out couch had only a sheet and thin cotton blanket for it which left one of us not sleeping well every night. I would be sure it has been fixed before going again, especially if you need to use the living room for sleeping, otherwise you will be. cold.
