Stayed with a group of 8 for a wine tasting weekend - the location is great, ~10-15 min from downtown Paso, steps away from the Hearst Winery, where we were given complementary tastings in the tasting room. Plenty of parking, easy self check-in, and an absolutely *amazing* backyard.
This house is perfect if you will be spending a majority of your time at the property outside, which we did. The layout of the house isn't super clear in the pictures, but there isn't really a large space outside of the dining table for a big group to hang out comfortably indoors -- the common areas are broken up into a few separate, smaller (smaller than they appear in the photos) rooms. The house itself is a little dark, but that does keep it cool. So it may not be best suited if you plan to be hanging out inside a lot. I wouldn't consider the inside of the home as a luxury home, as it is a historic, older home (which is part of the charm!).
However, the backyard was just amazing and definitely luxurious. Beautiful views, including sunset views over the trees/fields, amazing pool and hot tub, big dining table and conversation area with a fire pit. They had pool towels and some floaties. The pool wasn't heated, so in early May, not everyone braved it beyond their feet in the water, but it would be perfect in the hotter summer months. The hot tub was heated ahead of our arrival and we made good use of it. Good sized, newer grill outside for BBQs.
Would stay again for that backyard & location!
