Why even charge a cleaning fee?
Upon arriving to the property there is a horrible stench. The smell is very nauseating & should be addressed. The listing shows 4 bedrooms but there are 5. The fifth one is locked. That should’ve been disclosed in the listing because the whole time we felt very uncomfortable not knowing who/what was in the room. The place was VERY FILTHY. The downstairs bathroom rug reeked of pee. The refrigerator had dead flies in it. The washing machine had something nasty stuck to the inside door. The upstairs shower curtain liner was beyond nasty & when I tried to contact the owner about it, he never responded. The upstairs toilet seat is also cracked so every time we sat on it, it pinched our skin. So we stopped using it, leaving only the downstairs toilet the only usable toilet. The sink had a very nasty, smelly sponge to wash dishes with. There was cobwebs everywhere. I spent $50 just on cleaning supplies & laundry stuff because none of that was available on the property. The Tide that is provided is full of water. Every time you contact the owner he wants pictures of whatever you’re referring to. This was my first trip on Vrbo so I’m not familiar with how to send pictures in the chat, but regardless I feel like if I’m telling you something is wrong, I shouldn’t have to prove it to you before you’re willing to fix it. Overall the place has potential but I wouldn’t stay here again.
Side note: For any future guests, the shower knobs are backwards and there’s a camera upstairs watching u
