On the positive side, the staff here are delightful, willing and polite. The food is ok and there is a reasonable selection, but not a gourmands delight. The gardens are very pretty and the views and wildlife are what you would expect in the more rural parts of the Caribbean. However, there is nothing ‘De-luxe’ about this hotel ( which is how our rooms were described on booking). The furniture is cheap, old and tatty, we had broken and rusting light fittings etc. There is no hairdryer, room safe or coffee making and there is no hot water in the evening for the shower. You have to give your key to reception if you want the room cleaned. The air-con is efficient and noisy, it runs all night and a plastic notice stuck to the wall instructs you not to change the settings. The pool is ok but the water fall in the photos is not running, the poolside shower room is not pleasant and some of the loungers are broken and the cushions are old and in places torn and grubby. I appreciate this is not the UK and Caribbean standards are different but the pricing of rooms are clearly based on the availability on the island not the quality of the establishment.
