Looking for a calm and peaceful place to relax? Well you found it...

Serenity and comfort is what you get what you stay at The Magnolia.

This stylish and comfy space features sleeping arrangements for 6 and all of the things you need to make your stay one to remember.

Don't fall in love to hard, you will have to check out at some point!

This is a 2 bedroom + 1 bath unit. Parking is located in the rear of the building. The Magnolia is equipped with everything you need for your stay!

Guest can access the entire space!

I give my guests space but am available when needed
I am here for support. My property manager or myself are always available, but we like to give you space!

Conventionally located just minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. This neighborhood is walkable, fun and near a ton of nightlife and restaurants!

Rideshare Apps + public transit or walking!

There is 1 additional nightly rental unit located in the same building. They units do not share any common space. The parking lot is the only area that is shared. There is also an Interior Design Studio located in the commercial unit in the front of the building. The Studio is closed at night.
Quiet Hours: Between 10pm-8am. Please be respectful of these hours for the surrounding neighbors / other tenants in other units of this property. The neighbors keep an eye on the home for me and they WILL call me if things are loud or seem out of place.

*NO PARTIES* - The neighbors WILL CALL and we will charge a fee.

Great but could’ve been better!
Booked this place almost a year in advance, asked for early check in back in Aug 2023, property manager asked me to reach out morning of check in which I did. I didn’t hear back from him for over 7 hrs morning of, which by then early check in wasn’t early check in. He finally reached out and said he would communicate with cleaners and then get back to me, which he never did. I had to reach back out and ask for access to property at my normal check in time since I hadn’t received it yet. We ended up waiting in our vehicle out front of property until he finally responded, so all that left a sour taste in my mouth. Property was clean, beds were comfy. I just wish there was better communication with the property manager day of.

Cute, clean, well-decorated place
We had a great stay at the Magnolia, in SLC for our son's UofU graduation weekend! We appreciated the detailed directions for parking & entry. The whole rental was expertly decorated and very comfortable. Location in Sugar House is perfect, with a few restaurants in walkable distance. The only thing I would mention for future guests is the layout: There were only 2 of us, which was fine, as the only bathroom is an ensuite in the bedroom with the king bed. If there were additional adult guests in the other bedroom, they would need to go through the master bedroom to the bathroom (this would be fine with kids in a family, though).

Beautiful space and great location.....
Well decorated space and great part of town. Getting around was simple. Our own parking space was great to have. We had to be proactive with the host in order to get our check-in info. He was very responsive and lovely once we reached out. It was a unfortunate that the place was still being cleaned even an hour after check in time. However, the cleaner was polite and very accommodating while finishing. The lack of an oven was a surprise (not disclosed) and unfortunately we couldn't return the perishable food we bought to use for one. Little things that are nice to have were lacking. For instance no kitchen towels or hot pads to use on pots and pans or heavier sets of blankets as there was only thin ones on the bed (which could is a personal preference).

Do not recommend!
TL;DR Place was filthy, Check in came late, Host does not answer calls or communicate, Host lied about a refund and did nothing to help. This place should be removed as a rental from VRBO so others don't have to deal with this mess on vacation. If I could recommend anything, it would be to look elsewhere for a place to stay. The whole process of renting "the Magnolia" was a disaster and frustration. For starters, our check in time was 4pm and we didn't get any check in information until 4:30-5ish after I reached out to VRBO twice, so we just drove around waiting to get the address. Once we finally heard from the host and got into the condo, we found that it was never cleaned after the previous guests left. (Dirty bed linens/towels, unflushed toilets, trash in the bins, dishes in the sinks, ect..) After informing the host of the mistake we left for 2 hours so the cleaners could come, which the host assured us they were "minutes away." After 2 hours they still had not arrived. We proceeded to call the host several times, leaving voicemails and sending him messages on text and through VRBO, non of which were answered. At this point it was close to 8pm and we had been traveling all day so we ended up cleaning and doing the wash ourselves. After calling VRBO for help and having them call the host we finally got a text back from him just saying the cleaners were coming. The cleaners did eventually come... at 10:30pm. The host said he would refund the cleaning fee but never did

I never stayed here and I never will
I booked this place and cancelled the very next day. Communication with the host was so difficult. When I inquired several times about my reservation not being cancelled and refunded, he assured me it was all good on his end. WRONG. I kept getting emailed about my upcoming stay and my VRBO app showed the reservation still active. After failed attempts, I contacted VRBO as well as my credit card company who ultimately refunded me my money for a stay I never had, especially since I was well within my cancellation window. Cody was unprofessional in this regard to help. Even the DAY OF my “check in”, my email didn’t even list the address until several hours after, but it did leave the door code.. please don’t waste your money here. this was an awful experience and thank goodness for credit card companies.

Great, with caveats
Our trip to SLC was fabulous. The accommodations were clean, attractive, wonderfully located. The kitchen was well outfitted and there were numerous nice touches (lots of throws and blankets, plenty of towels). There were, however, a couple of things of great concern. The door locking mechanism was unpredictable, which meant that we often were standing on the doorstep making multiple attempts to get the door open, never knowing if it would work. The king mattress and the living room sofa were extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was especially problematic ~my sleep was erratic and I had a back-ache much of the week. I would love to rent this place again but won't do so unless there is a different mattress in the master bedroom.

Never received check in information - inaccurate listing.
I booked the property 3 weeks prior to my stay but didn’t receive check in information on the day of my stay. All interactions were automated and I couldn’t contact the host. I arrived at the property and continued to establish communications but never received an entry code. After 3 hours past check in time, I was forced to find somewhere else. Furthermore, the entire street was blocked off dude to construction. I counted 3 excavators and 2 skid steers, with one of them being parked no further than 6 feet from the front door. After trying to initiate a refund, I received countless repeated automated messages. Later that evening, Cody eventually gave me the entry information but it was so unrealistic to expect that I would have waited for hours and hours in the heat to see if he would ever reach out. Up to that point I had zero communication and then I checked the reviews which showed several of the same story. I know mistakes happen and I will happily take down this review once I have been refunded but as of 3 weeks past the check in fate - I have had no refund and only misspelled automated responses. I’m still not convinced this is a real VRBO property.

Circumstances problematic
We did not receive the check-in information, which I don’t hold against the property owner. I called the owner and texted them and heard back from them within minutes with the check-in and property info. What was unexpected and problematic was the major construction project going on right outside our door every day from 7am to sundown. And the locking mechanism for the door was not smooth, having major issues when attempting to enter the property. The one bathroom is in the main bedroom, so not conducive to sleeping more than two people. Also, the door to the bathroom is a sliding barn door with gaps, so no privacy whatsoever. A little ridiculous to think 6 people would stay at the property. But yes, there was beds enough for six people. Location was perfect, and plenty of parking. Those are the two very positive aspects. When construction is over, property would be very quiet.

Beautiful & Clean Escape
Beautiful little apartment exactly as described. We loved everything about it. We got in very late and had a little trouble figuring out which unit, because they aren't numbered and no outside lights were on. But otherwise we were very pleased with the space and the neighborhood.

Mid-July Stay
House was exactly as shown in the pictures. Plenty of cups, plates and silverware for our party of 4. Dishwasher worked. Refrigerator was a good size for us - about half the size of a normal refrigerator. Shower and faucets all worked really well. Very clean. Plenty of towels. The AC struggled to keep up during the day but it’s not normally as hot in SLC as it was when we were there so I wasn’t surprised by that. I was VERY happy we had AC and it was a nice relief after being outside in the heat all day. We were a bit confused at first with which unit was our rental when we arrived as the units are not numbered. We quickly realized Unit 2 is around to the right side as you look at the back of the house. Not a big deal to us but was glad we arrived during the day. There is a step up to get into the unit in case anyone needs that info. EASY, optional checkout list. Honestly, it was so easy, we did them all. Lovely stay, perfect for our needs and only 15 minutes drive to downtown. Walking distance to a cafe. Grocery store was less than a mile away.

Good for short stays
The property is beautiful and asthetically furnished. The check-in and out process was very easy with good communication. The furniture, primarily the couch and chairs, are quite firm and uncomfortable. This is a great place to stay if you need a place to crash at night, but it is not one that I would like to spend the whole day at. The AC had a hard time keeping up and would only get to about 75°+ during the summer. Keep in mind the only bathroom is inside the Master bedroom.

Perfect Long Weekend
Beautifully decorated and comfortable. We wish we had been able to hang out in the unit more. Very nice location and walkable to great market and cafe. Set up really well for a relatively small space.
