We traveled to Bretagne from Normandie, where we attended the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The apartment at 10 Rue de Toulouse was in an ideal position for our five night stay in St Malo; there is little point in visiting the city unless you stay 'Intra Muros'. It is in a quiet part of the town, but only five minutes walk from the centre. There is a bank and a small supermarket (Carrefour)situated underground with the entrance somewhat hidden down a side street. Parking is a problem, but there are public car parks just outside of the walls, where vehicles can be left overnight. There is a multitude of restaurants, where English is spoken to varying degrees. And, of course, there are numerous cafes to have coffee and 'watch the world go by'.We visited Dinan and Concale Plage on separate days - well worth the journey. In summary, we spent a most enjoyable time in St Malo and would recommend the experience.
