When we first checked in I saw that the carpet on the stairs and upstairs was gross and covered with many animal excrement stains. I immediately contacted Vacasa and asked for someone to come and promptly clean the carpet.Despite promises to do it twice, they never came. I was there for a 10 day stay, so they had plenty of time. After a week when it was clear they would not be coming to clean the carpet I asked for a $50/day refund for having to pay full price to live with gross disgusting carpet including in the master bedroom. Once again, despite multiple promises that the Vacasa person would talk with local management and get back to me they never did. This was on top of the property not being cleaned and ready to move in on our day of arrival until 6 pm even when a 4 pm check in was promised. Plus, the unit is long in the tooth and needs multiple repairs and updating. Cleaning the thick dust off of the fake plants, the oven and the inside of the kitchen cabinets and getting rid of the innumerable old nik naks would also be good. As would having folding beach chairs. Since when do you rent a beach house without beach chairs etc.
Sadly, this place could be great. The location is fantastic. And hanging out in the family/dining room with the ocean views is great. But the place is not healthy or comfortable to live in with the gross carpet. And Vacasa couldn’t manage their way out of a paper bag.
I rent a lot of vacation rentals. This was my worst experience by far.
