Nice central location, close to Mt Hood activities, as well as restaurants and grocery store.
Pros: Charming cottage feel. Solid wood floors, walls and ceilings. Attractive decorations - antique without going too kitsch. Amazing back yard directly on Clear Creek. Nice elevated back deck with grill where you can relax in nature. Basic Internet (1-2 Mbps down DSL) and basic cable TV. Good AT&T cell signal strength. Cabin also had phone landline (that we did not use).
Cons: Physically small property with low ceilings and tight spaces. Ceiling on main floor is only 6'6" high, and sloping rooflines combined with small rooms mean that even a 6' tall individual will be bumping their head or shoulders in many spaces. There is not 6' of clearance in the master bath shower, nor at the foot of the queen bed in the master bedroom (as well as the stairs and many other locations). The cabin location is only about 50 yards off Lolo Pass Road - a major striped two lane road with a 45 mph speed limit that people regularly speed on. There is substantial late night street noise from trucks and motorcyles, particularly if you are visiting during the summer and have to sleep with windows open due to heat. Finally, some of the cabin supplies were sub-par, especially considering the premium pricing for this cabin versus others in the area. Generic rough toilet paper that felt like sandpaper, the cheapest thin paper towel you could buy, and no Kleenix/tissue paper. It would be a small thing to improve service in this area.
Overall we would rent here again.
