We (husband, wife, 3 year old) stayed here for a week in early June. The house itself is comfortable, with a rather home-y vibe. Everything was in good working order. The kitchen, while small, was well-equipped for enjoying local delicacies. The property's most stunning feature is the giant yard, with a breathtaking view of lower Ravello, surrounding mountains, and the Amalfi Coast itself.
Opportunities for improvement include:
- The smaller bedroom remained mysteriously hot and stuffy despite cool evenings.
- The shower temperature abruptly varies from boiling hot to frigid
- There's a washing machine that works sporadically, and a clothes line - perfectly adequate... unless it's raining.
- The check-out process was grisly. It took about 45 minutes. The person who handled it tried to overcharge us for the extra night we'd booked long in advance, didn't have proper change for all of the cash-only charges (read the fine print in the property description, and make a few ATM visits before you show up at the property itself! On that note, best to visit an ATM outside of Ravello, as we found one was broken and one was out of cash), and then tried to short us our change with the excuse "It's not fair for me to give you my own money!"
Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this spot to others.
