Great people, stunning views but come prepared. The staff ( butlers) and scenery absolutely deliver. The food overall was decent, though not a standout. Our room, unfortunately, sat right outside the show venue — so unless you enjoy falling asleep to a live soundtrack, don’t plan on turning in early… it’s basically a concert in your room. The towel game is next-level competitive. If you’re not staking your claim by 7:00 a.m., be ready for a full-on lounge-chair showdown. It borders on absurd, with a few “owners” acting like they hold the deed to the pool or beach. Kobe Restaurant was a major letdown — small portions, and in a truly impressive twist, they actually forgot to plate one of the meals… mine.I was going to have to wait 10 minutes to get mine, we walked. On the bright side, the lunch dining hall was consistently very good and saved the culinary score. One major heads-up: watch the hotel’s “exchange rate” if you upgrade or make purchases on site. It’s… creative. You’re far better off bringing cash or paying in advance to avoid the surprise markup. They tell you the price in USD , then tell you they apply in pesos while not disclosing the additional 14% . It’s not about the dollar to peso conversion it about the additional. Bottom line: Beautiful place, friendly vibe, but a few operational quirks that future guests should know going in.

Second visit to Ventus Ha and it continues to offer great value. We would definitely go back. Staff, cleanliness, and beds were all excellent. Food ranged from very good to excellent. The buffet selection was good, though items were not always hot, which made it less appealing at times. It was sometimes difficult to get reservations at the à la carte restaurants, but once there, the meals were consistently excellent. Coffee at Aromas is wonderful, and the barista does a fantastic job. The pools were very cold during the first week of our two-week stay, making the single heated pool quite busy. With so many pools on the property, adding a second heated option, (perhaps on a rooftop?) would be a welcome improvement. The evening entertainment is fun and the fire show was impressive. We love the lush landscaping, walking paths(well lit at night), and the wildlife. The beach isn't much, but the grounds make up for it. One disappointment was smoking in shared areas. Despite the nationwide smoking ban in place since 2023, a few people were smoking cigars and cigarettes in hot tubs, around pools (the family friendly spaces the law is ment to protect), and on balconies. It’s uncomfortable for guests to have to address this themselves. Clear communication at check-in, visible signage, and well-marked designated smoking areas would help. Despite a few bumps, we had a great time and would recommend it!

Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid was an overall good experience with clear strengths and some noticeable inconsistencies. The resort itself is beautiful, very clean, and feels secure. Walking the property was enjoyable and relaxing. The housekeeping team was outstanding, some of the best I’ve experienced. Maintenance was also impressive; when we had ants near the breakfast table in our suite, someone arrived within minutes and fully resolved the issue quickly. Many of the waiters were kind, respectful, and professional, and much of the staff was friendly. However, service overall felt hit or miss. The language barrier sometimes made communication difficult, and room service was inconsistent, with cold or incorrect orders. Buffet and restaurant food quality also varied. The layout of the resort was confusing at first, WiFi was unreliable, and entertainment could be better scheduled and promoted. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cleanliness, security, and responsiveness. However, due to the inconsistencies, we would likely try a different resort next time and keep Ventus Ha as a backup option.

Please do not stay here you can not book at the restaurants and have to eat at a horrible buffet food is cold, pasta sauce is runny, meat is hard and chewy it’s so bad!!!! Staff is rude and poor management!!! I booked because price was lower than other hotels but definitely I would never book here again. The hotel is newer but the pools are not warm they are super cold and some are broken and closed!! I wouldn’t recommend!!! Puerto Morelos is beautiful but definitely choose a different hotel so you save your self a really bad taste!

I will start by saying that we stayed at the new hotel and it is nice, but it was really hard to get reservations for the restaurants. They have nine restaurants that you have to make reservation for and we stayed there for a week and we were only able to eat up at two of them the rest of the time we had to eat at the buffet which the food was horrible!!! Pools were closed and cold. Also some of the staff were super rude so decided to speak to the hotel manager and he said he new it was har to make reservations for the restaurants but they were almost at capacity and they were busy, I don’t think it was an excuse but I think he did. If you travel with kids keep in mind there is also a time were EVERYTHING IS CLOSED SO NO FOOD AT ALL it was horrible to get back tired from the beach and not have any restaurants open. I had also contacted the wedding planner for the hotel a couple weeks in advance because I was planning my wedding and the guy never emailed back I called multiple times and never got back to me I also brought this up to the manager and he said nothing after I showed him the emails at the end of the win so happy I did not booked my wedding there they are not attentive at all. Please think about booking the a stay here and DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE!!! My family and I have stayed at many different resorts in Cancun and by far this one is the WORSE ONE HE HAVE EVER BEEN TO I know it sound like I’m dramatic but out experience was that bad. I hope my review helps

Clean room, refreshed towels everyday, everywhere is clean, the resorts are well maintained. Food were really good. Hard to get reservations at aakat, reserve as soon as you checked in. We truly enjoyed our stay. I just wished the internet free for every device you have. But all in all , we will defimitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience at this old, inclusive hotel from the amenities in their room to the staff and the restaurants. The only thing I was disappointed is the beach location and wifi access. Beach in front of hotel has erosion barriers and rocks. I would definitely stay here again if I didn’t care about getting out of the hotel to go to the beach, but with so many hotels available to choose from, I will try a different one next time.

3rd time at El Cid. It was just ok. Room didn't get cleaned one day and we asked to at least get towels. They were going to get them to us "right away". We never got them.
