Our GPS seemed to be playing a practical joke, with all the convolutions it dictated to get us to the house. Set in a bit farther from the street than the ones on either side, we didn't recognize it until we were right in front.
Once inside, we found that there was ample space, more than you might guess from the outside in front. The interior was immaculate and attractive, as well as subtly stylish. The two bedrooms were comfortable and far enough apart to make privacy possible. And the kitchen was attractive, large, and well-equipped -- including with high-quality coffee our host made available to us, and was great to wake up to.
At the back of the house, beyond a utility room with washer and dryer, was the door to the back yard, which is complete with patio deck, table and chairs, and even a charcoal grill, which we put to use cooking salmon steaks and brats.
Although its houses are fairly close together, the neighborhood was quiet during the two days we were there; and the back yard seemed somehow sequestered, giving us peace and also a feeling of assurance that we weren't bothering others.
My wife walked into the room just now. When I told her I was writing this, she said of this property, "Yeah, it was wonderful. It had all the details." With that succinctly accurate observation of hers, I think I'll end my review.
