I've stayed at Danford's before - they do a nice job around the holidays (nicely decorated hotel lobby) and we usually stay here because it's convenient to visiting family.
However, this time around, several negatives to report - 1. There was a large, horizontal crack (as in, you could feel the ridge along one side of the crack, so pretty severe) in one of the high windows above one of the beds, and cold air was coursing through it, which meant having to bump the heat temp even higher in the room. Have no idea what might have caused such a severe crack in the window, esp since it's so high up, seems like a safety hazard. ??? 2. the toilet ran constantly, which caused us to have to close the bathroom door at night so as not to be kept up with the noise (and btw, the floors are like ICE in the bathrooms, don't walk in there barefoot in the winter!). 3. We usually bring our gifts for a close family member into the lobby of the hotel to present to her because it's so beautifully decorated. Did the same this time, and at some point some odd older woman (dressed in plaid) came over towards where we were sitting, apparently with a scowl on her face (my cousin mentioned this later - I hadn't seen this individual's behavior or I would have said something to her). I certainly hope this wasn't hotel staff - after spending almost $600 at this place for a few nights I don't want to know that some nosey parker made my family member feel uncomfortable while receiving her xmas presents.
