We were greeted by a sign telling us to turn back at the start of the private road. There wasn't even a warning from the owner in the directions. The owners feed cats on the patio, which brings families of skunks right to the glass door. They told us there were feral cats, but there was cat food in the laundry room and a full bowl on the patio, and a cat door into the garage. We couldn't be outside, or even open a window. We tried to explore the creek, which was our reason for booking, but the neighbor told us we were trespassing. Once the skunks were clear we packed up and left.
We told Evolve that we fled the property the next day, and demanded at least a refund for the nights we vacated.
After months of trying to call and only being able to leave emails after hours on hold, I was told to pursue the matter with my credit card company as the owner had not responded.
We couldn't stay in the property! I have stayed in a property that had to have a wasp nest removed, but have never complained before. I never had such a terrible experience with a property or management company.
