I can't say enough about the location of this apartment. A 60 second walk to the metro that can get you pretty much anywhere you want to go. Close to the excitement of Rue St. Denis. Amazing restaurants steps from the door. Yes, all the other things about the sketchy look and smelly hallway are true, but you're in Paris. And once you get to the apartment itself, it's wonderful.
We stayed two weeks and were offered a complementary linen change halfway through our stay which was very kind. Not a big deal, but apartment description pictures has a TV shown in the bedroom, but there is not one there.
Communication with host was quick and efficient. Beds were certainly comfortable. Running the AC in the bedroom causes a pump to make noise which, if you're a super light sleeper could keep you up, but sleeping with the bedroom door open and the living room AC on kept it cool enough, even in the middle of July. Best bakery we found was Boulanger Patissier, a 3 minute walk up the street. Lovely proprietors. We also at at Derya (twice!) and Boullion Julien. As others have said, a guestbook with other helpful travel hints would be nice to have. Also, instructions on how to use the combo washer/dryer!
Wifi was great, as were the TV options (not that we watched much!
Thanks for a lovely stay.
