Our family was there for a one-week stay, and we loved most things about the apartment and the area. The area is safe, and has a 24-hour supermarket just a 5-minute walk away. Plenty of kosher and regular restaurant options, too. A 20-minute drive from the Panama Canal, Uber was the way we got everywhere (Casco Viejo is a place that should not be missed - we made many 15-minute Uber trips to it and back). The apartment itself is very nice, though there were a few minor drawbacks. In truth, the biggest drawback for us was that there really is no proper beach in or around Panama City. We traveled 2 hours each way to Playa Blanca one day, and got day passes at an all-inclusive resort. This was terrific, but it would have been nice if there were closer beaches. In all, our family had a great trip, and though we try never to go to the same place twice, we all already miss Panama City. The people are wonderful.
