"I stayed in one of the cottages which are new, beautifully decorated, super functional and so ver comfortable. The king size Sleep Number bed was over the top luxurious! Met owner Randy who took us on a tour of the gorgeous property and enjoyed tasting the fruits from the plantation. Loved that they have several rescued cats on property. The cats are very polite. The mini kitchen in the cottage was perfect for breakfast or lunch."

"The staff were very helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to make a meal. Also, close to a coffee shop, grocery store and numerous restaurants. We enjoyed the stay. The only drawback was a rooster. But, Hawaii loves their chickens!"

"This was our second stay at this beautiful property. We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute! We had everything we needed at this lovely home. We loved the hot tub especially in the evening when we could star gaze! The sky was beautiful! We were a short drive to Honokaa and played several rounds of golf at the unique golf course (Hamakua country club). Overall, we had the most wonderful time and are planning on returning next year! "We have been to the Big Island many times and staying Waipio Gardens was one of the best trips we've ever had there. It is a beautiful property that provided serenity, great hiking and amazing beach time. The house is nestled in the jungle in the valley with gorgeous plants, fruit trees, lots of birds and even wild horses. We picked and enjoyed fresh oranges, grapefruit and papaya. The hosts, Sukumar and Kristi, were very helpful in the planning of the trip as well as ferrying us to and from the house. Getting there was indeed part of the adventure and this location provides the opportunity to experience a part of the island that most will never get to see. Would highly recommend!"
