「The Starry Banner was the perfect spot for our stay in Manteo! The location was great - so easy to walk to restaurants and shops - and staying on a boat was fun! The boat was clean, well maintained, and beautiful. Katherine’s messages were clear and helpful. I highly recommend a stay on the Starry Banner!」

「I very much enjoyed this unique experience of houseboat living. I knew I would enjoy the marina life and being on the water sounded wonderful. However, it really is not really dependent on the tides as to how your are able to board the boat. You WILL have at least 3 feet to step/jump over to get on the boats deck. As a single person, I found this not to work very well. My suitcase and groceries were difficult at times to bring onboard by myself. With that being said, the last day there,...

「I loved the oak trees and the birds. Our site had an amazing view of the ocean as we were on the 3rd floor. We saw humpback whales, dolphins, pelicans, terns, grebes, and more. We appreciated our time there and intend to return.」

「We got to stay in the upgraded condos! They were beautiful! I had never stayed in the A and B side! Each of one of us had basically an apartment to ourselves. 」

The only thing we found was there are only 2 washers and dryers for the entire campground. 1 washer was broken and there was no change machine to get quarters and the office was closed. Could also use a playground for the little ones as there isnt much for kids on the property other than the pool for summer. 」
