GOOD. Conveniently located. Plenty of parking, plenty of room 4 adults, 3 kids (ages 4-8). Cutely decorated. Little pool in back was perfect. Community pool was EXACTLY what we were after. For all of these reasons, we chose this rental.
BAD. Like other reviews, unit needs TLC. Paint peeling off cabinets, wires hanging out of walls, so much more. Bed in master is SO LOUD! Grill locked up, but regardless, propane tank was empty had to borrow neighbor's. Unit had necessities, but everything was little bit rickety.
Couple things not aware of at time of booking, which would swayed our decision. First was alarm on sliding door leading out to pool. Every time you go in and out of pool area you have to press a button or an extremely loud alarm would sound. If door is left open for longer than 15 seconds, alarm goes off. While I appreciate safety of kids, pool also had a screen fence around it. If you are adults, and/or have kids that can swim would not recommend this unit. No option to opt out or sign a waiver. We would not have booked if we had known about this.
Second, unit stocked with bare minimum. I've stayed in units like this before, and know there are some supplies needed, but would always be supplied with a certain amount of items based on our length of stay. If you are flying in be ready to stop for basic supplies.
UGLY. On first night, arrived after 6pm. Noticed unit not cooling. Thermostat read 80 degrees, but AC was set at 69. AC was broken (which also happened to another renter prior). Immediately notified mgmt company and owner. Arrived home late 2nd night, after day at parks, STILL no AC. If you have stayed in FL before, you know how crucial AC is, no matter time of year. Heat would make anyone irate, and we were. AND could not open sliding door. This continued until 4th night. Lack of customer service from owner was astonishing...so much owner could have done to help (including help find another unit in same complex, more fans, compensation for inconvenience). Owner simply told us because we "chose" to stay there would be NO compensation. What we chose to do, was not ruin our vacation. Only there three full days, did not want to use one of those days finding new place, packing up, and moving. So yes, we "chose" to stay. Didn't make sense to leave after third night. A little customer service would have gone a LONG way. We understand these things happen, but how it was handled, NOT recommend staying here.
