I booked this particular unit because my 3 grandchildren were coming. I wanted ground level with the yard and beach access for the kids. After I booked, after I paid my money, Brett Robinson agency sent me an e-mail stating the building would be undergoing major exterior renovations with loud noise and strong chemical smell. The construction started way before I booked and was scheduled for 4 months! I called, they instructed me to call the property mgr at the actual building. I called, I was told I could be relocated but to come ahead and check in first. I was also told to call back in a couple of days and they would have a new construction schedule. I called. I was told the scaffolding by my unit would be gone 6 days before we would arrive. Day of arrival. My daughter and her family were arriving separately as well as my son and his family. I called ahead, so that either one of them could check in ahead of my husband and I. Nothing was said about the construction. It was late evening when my daughter and her kids got to the unit and she calls me telling me there are signs on the door. when she got inside, there were signs on the patio door stating that the patio was closed, a large table shoved against the door and scaffolding on the patio. I called. Weather delays....we were all so tired, kids were asleep, we just decided to stay. we had three families, luggage, 3 kids, all unloaded! No construction workers ever showed up all week. I called Brett Robinson again to express how I thought someone could/should have let me know before arriving and they pretty much said sorry, call the property manager. I went again to the front desk. I received $100.00 for my trouble, BIG WHOOP! I was the only one who did any work, I was the only one who paid a lot of money to have the convenience of a yard and beachfront access for my family vacation, I was the only one stressed about the situation. BOTTOM LINE- I FELT DECEIVED. They took my money and did nothing else.
