"I ended up staying at Casa Modiano for over a week and was able to stay in several rooms. Room 5 with a couch was my favorite because it was a bit more spacious but all three rooms I had were lovely. Great decor, incredible location, delicious breakfast. Loved sitting on the balcony sipping wine, feeling the breeze off the ocean and writing. Near everything but one street removed from the waterfront noise. Much more charming. "

"We loved the beautiful room and the house restaurant - steps away- food was amazing- George was the greatest host - so welcoming and warm- we would stay here again! Parking is confusing the first time- George was so patient and stayed with us via text until we arrived- "

"We had an excellent stay at Porto Vecchio. The hotel itself is situated right in the old town about 2 streets back from the sea, in a pretty little corner on a lovely back street. As the old town is pedestrianised, we were dropped at the top of the main street by our taxi from the airport, 25 mins away, and had a short 5 min walk to the property. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was always at the end of the phone should you need any help and I believe, not far away either....

"Located in beautiful old port historic area, a block from the water. Lots of restaurants, parks, shops within walking distance. Only draw back is road is pedestrian only and parking, when available, is 2 blocks away at public lot. If that lot is full, need to find somewhere on nearby roads. "

"Belmondo is one of the hotels situated in the port area of Chania. The location is truly great, right in the middle of everything, with rooms overlooking the water. The main inconvenience is that there is practically no parking in the vicinity, so you'll have to walk for at least 15-20 minutes to the nearest parking lot. Not to say, that even if you find a spot you'll risk a fine because most parkings in this area are "for residents only"! There is also no elevator, which is pretty common for...
