"This place is charming, cozy, lovely, and magical. Christian and his lovely wife, Marie-Christine are wonderful people. The carriage house was perfect. Lots of room to relax with a great kitchen. If you love old world charm with history, this place in perfect for you. Christian gave us a grand tour and told us the history of the grand house. We love it at chateau Barbeville and hope to come back. PS. The location is perfect for seeing everything in Normandy."

"We loved our stay! Everything was perfect and comfy. We enjoyed family time nestled in a quiet French cottage which served as our homebase for exploring Normandy. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook some meals and even wash clothes. Jerome and Veronique were so nice and left some juice, water, coffee and pastries. We would definitely stay again if given the opportunity. Oh, I also loved birdwatching in the huge backyard. It was so soothing."

"As a group of 4 motorcyclists on a WW11 tour we had a great time staying here ... Ate our evening meals in the garden and toured Normandy by day . We used the three double rooms in the house and found them very comfortable for our needs . If you stay here you must bring your own towels with you , we had to go and buy some as we were tight for luggage space and didn't have any with us . It's a very nice house with a large lounge and 3 big sofa's and a good sized tv .... Yes I would stay here...

"Very convenient and comfortable little hotel where you can park the car (if you reserve a spot) and go explore the D Day museum and harbor. The staff was super welcoming! Breakfast onsite is convenient. The rooms had different configurations for our group, 3 single beds for me and the kids, and a double bed for my parents. Perfect!"

"Very friendly staff; spotlessly clean room; perfect location for exploring the D Day beaches, etc. Whilst there isn't a restaurant at the hotel, they provide a very good breakfast which sets you up for the day. It's a five/ten minute stroll into the town, which has planty of restaurants and a great bar/pub (the Mary Celeste). "
