We had a most enjoyable 5-day stay in early August at the Beach’s top and bottom unit at Inn of the Sea, with the 2 of us in the upper studio and our daughter and our 2 teenage grandsons in the lower one bedroom unit.
We found the units newly and nicely furnished and well equipped. The living area in the lower unit is quite spacious, with lots of comfortable seating. We had most of our meals on the outside deck with its view of the sea and the rabbits playing on the nearby lawn.
While the Inn of the Sea is out in the country, it is a pleasant 15 minute drive on a scenic rural road to the nearest, well-stocked, 49th Parallel store in Cedar. We found it to be a convenient base for enjoying other mid-Island attractions, such as the zip-line at Wild Play Nanaimo and the lovely beach at Rathtrevor Beach. In between excursions, the pool and tennis courts at the resort were a big hit, as was walking the beach and, for the boys, swimming off the dock.
Altogether, a great place to stay!
